When the weekend rolls around, nothing resolves the stresses of the previous week like brunch. It's the best time to gather with loved ones to catch up and enjoy a delicious plate of food while you're at it. As a matter of fact, brunch might just be our favorite meal of the day — who's with us?
We gathered up our favorite brunch restaurants in the Akron and Canton area for your next morning outing. With heaping plates of hash, buttery biscuits and gravy, stacked eggs Benedict, and mimosas galore, these local hot spots never disappoint. Happy brunching!

The Bloody Mary bar at the Burntwood Tavern is the stuff of legends. First, choose a Tavern-infused vodka (jalapeño, garlic, bacon, and the like), and then bolster it with your choice of mixers, hot sauces, horseradish and accoutrements. Once you've made your dream bevvie, enjoy brunch classics with a modern twist. Standouts include the prime rib eggs Benedict, the smoked bacon crepes and the nutella-stuffed French toast.

Located in the Montrose Center Plaza, this colorful spot serves up authentic Mexican street food in chic, modern digs. For brunch (weekends from 11 am to 3 pm), enjoy huevos rancheros, breakfast tacos, carne asada hash and more alongside an impressive lineup of coffee and breakfast cocktails (jalapeño paloma, anyone?).

This bright and airy locale is the perfect place for a relaxed weekend brunch! The menu is globally inspired, but still includes all of your favorite breakfast classics — with a twist. We are particularly smitten with the corned beef hash, the Maui Waui French toast (topped with piña colada compote), and the deep south omelette with sausage gravy, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu!Established in 2013, this cozy little concept brings a bit of brightness to downtown Canton. Here, you'll find flavorful, fair trade coffee drinks, but the real standout here is the waffles. These creations are fluffy and decadent, topped with a wide variety of ingredients both sweet and savory. If you come a bit later in the day, you can also experience the waffle burgers — a delicious patty sandwiched between the famed waffles. Are you hungry yet?

Luckily, our Ohio interior designers do not disappoint, curating their feeds with gorgeous, colorful and inventive home designs worth sharing.

This is one of the most popular sledding destinations in the Akron area, and for good reason! The large and steep hill is perfect for snow-day adventures, and includes a rope along the side to help you on your trek back up. Anyone who doesn't want to join in the sledding can entertain themselves by cross-country skiing in the park or warm themselves by the fire barrels.
Since the park is so conveniently located, you can expect to see lots of other sledding-hopefuls during the colder months. Get there early to avoid the crowds, or better yet, stay late! The park is open until 11 pm on certain days.
Adults and kids alike will love sledding at Firestone Metro Park. The enormous hill here accommodates sledders of all levels, and provides plenty of space to spread out and not crowd your fellow riders. The sledding hill is unlit, so make sure to arrive well before sunset to maximize your fun!
Located in the heart of Cuyahoga Valley National Park, this little-known winter wonderland boasts several prime sledding hills alongside snowshoeing, cross-country skiing trails, ice fishing, and plenty of snow! There are steeper inclines for the daredevils, but also plenty of shallower hills for those who want to take it slow. Warm your hands by the fire barrel at the top of the hill while you pick out your best route, get a running start, and race to the bottom!
A supremely fun sledding hill awaits you at Silver Park! Here, you'll find several hills of various size and steepness. Most sledders flock to the largest and steepest hill, not only because of the prime sledding terrain, but also because of the convenient set of steps that makes getting to the top easy.
